lazygourmet
Or "Witloof" / "Chicon", for us Belgian. Try a Carrefour located in an area with high density of expats (ie Rama IV) My locale one's (Bang Yai) used to import them... but not anymore. sunsamourai
Oh my ! Who could imagine this humble and cheap vegetable would have to travel across the earth, doubling its farang price in the process, before reaching the Thai golden temples of consumption . . . geeeez . . . but well, it's a craving, and I rarely give in to them... too bad for my wallet and my carbon footprint, I'll ride across Bangkok on this holy crusade ! Hooray ! Cheers all ^^ Edited February 21, 2010 by sunsamourai

sunsamourai
Was in Carrefour Ratchada this afternoon, but they didn't have any. So well, I got some zucchinis to cook a ratatouille to keep me waiting, and I'll find some time for the Holy Witlof Crusade later on ! Cheers all !
