Hi

My mum and dad have arrived in Pattaya with the intention of escaping the british winter. My dad is happy enough as he is a golfer but my mum is starting to feel a bit isolated. I am working overseas so not much help on that front. Has anyone got any tips on quiz night etc where expat couples hang out.

They are both in their sixties but very active and enjoy a beer and good company.

Are , KDF, mamanoodles, HWRWS and co still doing the rounds

If your in North Pattaya try TJ's Music bar in Soi Wongamat, Naklua - its a nice and friendly bar frequented mainly by older couples - no hassle and not your run of the mill girly bar.

Quiz night every Thursday 9pm at the sportsman pub soi 13

And every Tuesday at The Bowling Green (soi X-Zyte) at 9pm. Lot of elderly/middle-aged couples go there. There's also the Monday and Wednesday Quiz Leagues at various bars around Pattaya.

Isnt there a Pattaya Ladys Club, she may find some company there. Nice Ladys afaik.

My place is on the dark side near the croc farm. They have the use of a car and can get into town but around the lake would be easier.
