tooninthai
May already have been mentioned before but ..... Ok, so I might be slow on the take up of some things but it never occurred to me before why I always hear, "OK." as opposed to,"Yes." from a Thai. Well not until I said, "Yes, please." to her mother today and wondered why I got some strange looks. Yes means the same as sex in Thai. Sigh. Go figure !! Seems like it is back to "OK" for everything
toasted
Try pronouncing the 's' and don't speak your own language with a Thai accent.
Moonrakers
What toasted said. I know the Thai word which is creating the confusion but I have never had this problem and I doubt that many others have. Perhaps your accent is cutting the word "yes" short and so make an effort to enunciate the 's'.
toasted
Wow! Get a camera - an Oxford fan and a Swindon fan in agreement. And all was well in the world...
