Hello folks, here is where i am at. two weeks in c.m. and have gotten my embassy leter for prove of income. oops! have to present to immigration within 30 days says immigration or not valid and would have to go back to us embassy and get another for 1000 bht. if i do not apply within this time frame. was hoping to relax a little but, that being said i will go throught the application procces this week . Here is the question(s). Do I need three passport photos ( i have 2 ) and where to get them. How many copies of t 7 form do i need to make and what is the most common mistake we make trying to get all of the documentation together. I will have permanate residence on April 6th ( Karkanok 3). can I give imm. a copy of a contract dated on april 6th or should i use my hotel address but, will need some letter of prove of residence from hotel - right. Kevin nothing is a given when dealing with thai immigration and visas. Every office interprets the rules differently. Go down to the immigration office the day before you want to apply get all the info from them. Come back the next day with everything they ask for smile a lot and be patient.

You can make your own photos or obtain from any photo shop - they do want them to be current photos. Take more than you expect to need in the way of paperwork but only give if asked. Financial proof is the key item for retirement.
