I think that's good advice 24/7, any circumstances. My wife disagrees with you and me, though.

I'm in... just tell me at least one day in advance, so I can go out and buy everything I was planning on buying one day earlier :)

No it's not, but greedy bars and restaurant owners who are putting up their prices to try to compensate for falling business are.

If that's the case then I have been having selective 'No Spend Days' ever since I first visited Thailand because I avoid places that do this.

I could do with having a no spend year. :)
