How Many Days For 2 Entries?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just found this forum, tried to find my related information but couldn´t.

maybe someone can help me.

I´m 31 years old and live in Germany.

I will travel soa as a tourist (most of the time staying in thailand, and first stopp is thailand, for aproximately 2-3 month) from mai 2010 to mai next year.

I would like to get a visa for thailand for three entries but dont know how many days to fill in at "duration of proposed stay".

Is it the whole time? (so 60 * 3 = "180 days")

Or should I write down "60 days"? cause one visa is only for staying 60 days in thailand?

Or do I have to calculate all possible visa-30days-extensions into that aswell? write something like "90 days" or "240 days" (180days + 3*30days extension).

I can not find this information.

Called 4 Consulate bureaus over 2 weeks now but they ALL tell some different every phonecall!

(IF they even answer the phone :) )

so, if someone know, and I think most of you people will.... please let me know!

best wishes

kainer

You can just ask for 3 entries and write down a propost duration of stay between 121 and 180 days. If yu tell you will travel through SEA and will enter Thailand several times it should do.

Do use a honorary consulate, they tend to be the most friendly.

So I do nothing wrong if I write 180 days. Good to know.

I will check what they reply.

Have to do it all by mail cause I can not reach anyone by phone at ANY consulates bureaus in germany.

Very strange.

Thank you for your fast reply mario! :)

sometimes more difficult to get triple entry tourist visa, some consulates not like to issue therefore get an 'O' multiple entry visa (costs a bit more), but you can then travel freely in and out of Thailand, and get 90 days everytime you enter

But with no reason other than visit friends there are very few consulates that will issue such a visa.

imccosh, can u specify what I have to do to get this kind of visa? (in germany)

maybe it is a languague problem but I did not get it right I think.

I thought only non-immigration visa O would permit to stay 90 days without extension.

And I was informed that only people over 50 years of age and enough money on a thai-bank-account can get this kind of visa. (or U have to be married to a thai-lady).

Did I get something wrong and there IS a way for me (31 years old, not enough money on the bank and not married)??

Would be great :)

O visa you have to be 50year's old. but some consulate's give at any age. in the UK. no need for any money in the bank,

A non immigrant O visa is issued for "other" reasons. It does not require you be over any age. To be issued for retirement would be when the age 50 comes into play.
