happylarry
I have just received my renewed passport from Bangkok today and would like to ask if I can wait for my 90 day visit in April to transfer my visa over or do they like it to be done straightaway? Thanks. HL
Mario2008
Will depend on the office. I did mine a few weeks later with no problems. Although it is not the visa they transfer, but your visa details and your permission to stay. A visa can't be transferred and would require you to travel with both old and new visa if it was still valid for entry. Doing your 90 day report? You know that most offices allow you to report by mail?
happylarry
Thanks for your reply Mario. I use Korat immigration and have never asked about using the post, but it doesnt worry me going there once in three months as it is a good excuse to have a English breakfast at the new restaurant at the pottery village on the way to Choc Chai. I guess it will be best to have a run down there to be on the safe side. HL
rgs2001uk
I did this about 3 weeks ago. Take photocopies of, the original visa page, all your extension stamps, the TM 7, the details page of your old passport and the details page of your new passport. The front desk will give you a form to fill in, a form asking for stamps to be transferred to new passport. A pretty painless experience, will take up 3 pages of your new passport. No fee involved.
