fixed a pump for me last year and it is still working.

Are you sure it is the pump and not just the switch that is the problem. The few times I have had trouble with automatic pumps it has been the float switch. very cheap to fix. Try pulling the cord a few times or try a little WD40 on the contact switch. If it is a pressure drop pump you may need somebody to check it. Some use a gas some don't. it would depend on what type you have. Good luck
