I want to open an bank account back home. but for that i need to send money out from my thai saving bank account. The options i have is to either get a cheque issues or a draft .. but i am not sure can i get these issued while i hold a saving account ? please suggest ..

You can get a cashier's cheque/draft in the currency of "home" very easily with most Thai banks (KBANK for sure). You just need to fill in an application form and pay a small fee.

should be no problem - just remember to take as much paperwork as you can, just in case.

Have to say, I have NEVER been asked for any ID, etc. only to complete the application form. <---- Now that's done it! :o
