Need Advice On Non-imm B

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I need to leave the country to get my first Non-Imm B visa. I have been reading some postings about problems at various embassies and consulates in Asia. I'd rather not go back to my country (USA) to get the visa, because I already have a vacation planned to Ho Chi Minh. If need be, I can make a short trip to go somewhere else in the area, but rather not go too far. Does anyone have any advice on a getting Non-Imm B at Thai embassies and consulates in Laos, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Phom Phen, KL, Singapore?

Thank you,

You will need to show Form WP3 receipt from labour office (confirming application made for work permit) to the consulate as part of the visa application papers (see link below). Once your Non-B visa is issued, the local labour office will need to see your passport showing the Non-Immigrant visa before they will issue the work permit. Will be single entry visa first time around, but can obtain multiple entry visa later when work permit is available (or alternatively obtain extension of stay based on employment from Thai immigration if you meet the requirements). KL would be a good place to go, but this report from 8 months ago indicates HCMC issue too which may fit better with your plans.
