Claims of the rally impact on economy restricted by UDD leader

BANGKOK (NNT) – The core leader of the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) forbids vendors and the private sector to express their opinion against the rally.

At the stage at Phan Fa Bridge, Mr Veera Musikapong, the UDD's core leader proclaimed the restriction among vendors and operators around the rally sites including the private sector, in voicing their opinions with the media about how the rally affected trading as well as the country's economic system and investors' confidence.

He said the demonstration was taken in accordance with the people's constitutional rights.

ok, here we go:

Mr Veera Musikapong '' forbids vendors and the private sector to express their opinion against the rally'' isn't restricting free speech undemocratic and unconstitutional?

He said ''the demonstration was taken in accordance with the people's constitutional rights'' and what about the vendors constitutional rights? are they not people too governed by the same laws ?

finally who does he think he is?

how dare he dictate to the public and private sector as to what they can say and think?

they claim they want democrasy yet issue demands like dictators.

if the reds were to win, is this the type of person that you would want to govern the country in some powerful position he would surely secure for himself?

What about the blood donation? Did he ask for a consensus among the protesters first before proclaiming that they will donate blood? Seems to me many protesters aren't too happy about this and it shows.

Ha! I thought the exact same thing! As U.G. said, this is Thailand, and the red shirts have been one giant contradiction from the start. They want equality, poverty reduction, and freedom from the elites, and yet they have Thaksin "leading" them? It makes no sense, and is just a perpetuation of the class struggle, changing one set of elites for another. It's not surprising that their demands and restrictions make no sense either.
