Do I go on the Friday before or can I wait till Monday?

My yearly extension (based on marriage to a thai) is to be collected on 21st March. I applied a month ago for the year extension & they stamped the passport with a "pending year extention" note & "valid till 21st March 2010" & told me to come on that date to get the rest. So do I need to go tomorrow or if I go Monday will I get a fine for 1 day overstay?

I would go tomorrow as instructed. As to what might happen it could range from nothing to requirement for a new visa to start the process over. I suspect it would be near the nothing end of the scale but would not test it myself.

I failed to check calendar and only got part of the story it seems, thinking you were just not bothering to go on the selected day rather that it not being possible. Obviously need an eye transplant today.

In this case believe you are fully safe to go Monday. But if on the isle I would check Friday and keep Monday open just in case.

sorry my fault Lop, I said tomorrow thinking today was Thursday!!! I think a quick run down to Nathon Friday is in order & if not ready yet at least I've covered my own ass Thanks chaps as usual.

I got my wife to phone up a few days before and it was there ready for collection.
