March 22, 201015 yr I have installed the latest OpenSolaris version on my computer a few months ago and I was very pleased with the choice. Last month, I received an email from a friend tellling me that SUN (the makers of Jave, Solaris, and other software and hardware) was baught bu ORACLE. I did read the article, and it seemed to be true. Until yesterday.... I received another email from a friend who telling me that Sun was taking over RED HAT. How can SUN take over RED HAT if SUN was taken over by ORACLE in January? Does anyone know what is going on with these companies?
March 24, 201015 yr I think your answers will be in the business news at this point. Oracle has been in the process of buying Sun for a while. Things have been held up in the EU where they say it would allow Oracle to become a monopoly (I guess they are more expensive, or more difficult, to buy than US senators )
