How To Clear Auto Complete Names

Featured Replies

How can I clear the names from the drop down list on the log in page and start afresh.

I have tried CCleaner and some other registry cleaners and while they clear out cookies and lots of other stuff nothing has cleared out the names in the drop down menu.

There must be a way to flush these names.

Thanks "Supernova" but that link is for Windows login. I'm looking for forum type login, example to log into this forum I just need to type the "D" for Daffy and a drop down menu appears with any other names starting with D that I use in other forums.

Trouble is if you mistype a few names they stay and over time it can look a bit messy, so I want to flush all the rubbishy names and just have the few I use now.

:D

Edit - Ops! :) should mention I'm using XP Pro

Which browser are you using?

If it's Internet Explorer, go to Tools >> Internet Options >> Content tab. Click on AutoComplete Settings - Delete AutoComplete history. Alternatively, you could also purge the AutoComplete cache by deleting IE browsing history. The AutoComplete data is encrypted and stored in the registry key below. Manually deleting sub-keys under "IntelliForms" (in bold) should get rid of all stored user names and passwords.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\Storage1

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\Storage2
