Garmin Gpsmap 60 Csx

Featured Replies

I am using the Garmin 60 Csx, when I have set the zoom at 1.2 km, but when it comes to a corner and after recalculating, it will shrink the map to 30km, and I have to press the zoom button to 1.2km, it is not only troublesome but dangerous especially I am riding a bike, currently using ESRI Ver 9, can someone solve this problem? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with that model, but on my Nuvi I'm pretty sure there is an option you can select for that. Something like auto zoom or something. Turn that function off.

Press menu, setup, then map. You can then turn off the autozoom.

But you want it to alert you to junctions with a zoom..

My 60csx also does this, tho it seems to be when its reaches points between one road and another, it then jumps back out to the entire here to destination view.

Basically the 60 series is a great gps, but its less road routing biased than some.

I have turned off the auto zoom, it seems to be OK now, thanks Gary and CDninks for your advice, this is my first gps, really can't go without it. Thanks a million!

Question: I have a Garmin 60CSx. Is the Thai chipset available in Prathet Thai? Or best to obtain in USA?

Is the Thai map data presented in passah Angkrit, passah Thai or interchangeable?

My Thai reading, speaking and writing is fair-to-middling. If the 60CSx does not toggle between languages, is there a better, or more recommended

GPS unit suitable for use in Thailand that has this dual language function?

Many thanks in advance.....
