Okay, so last time I was in Thailand I tried to make myself a documented Thai national. A few things came up and we ended up spending the majority of the time getting my mom's paperwork straightened out. Good news, she's a documented Thai national again.

Now, in order for me to become a national (since I have no Thai paperwork proving it) I'd need approval from immigration. They said they can do this for me providing I follow the procedure they gave me. Problem is, it's in Thai, and I'm having trouble getting a reliable translation. I think I have the basics of what they're asking, but I'd like a better translation. Can anybody help? It's a little bit long, and I've written notes all over it. sorry.

I have been in same situation about translating papers-just from Danish to Thai-that was hopeless-but I do not think it will bee a problem for you-Thai-English-Yhere is a shop where we try but they only translate from English to Thai-but I am sure they can and will do rhe same the other way around-I dont know the street name-but when you past the big statue of The King,you came to a kind of plaza on your left site-I think 200m away,and then on your right site there is a shop-not very big but they have fax and stuff like that,and I am sure they can help you.

You can also try at TOT-they have the machines to do-but I dont know if they will-but ask around, I am sure there are plenty places where they will do it for you.

My Thai teacher does translations (Thai<->Eng) and is very good. Don't know what she charges but her Thai lessons are 300 baht/hour so reasonable. PM me if interested.

Need to translate Thai to English in Seattle? Suggest:

-- Try Google Translate online, it often works pretty well.

-- Take the document down to a local Thai restaurant, reckon one of the staff there can help out, for a price, of course, being in the US.

Definitely know I'm thai, my backstory is detailed in this post: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Thai-Id-Card...te-t333803.html. Yes, still working on getting the actual documentation to prove it. We were there a couple of weeks ago, talked with the Director at the Amphur where my mother is now registered. They will register me and give me my ID card if I can prove to Immigration that I am my mom's son. Immigration gave me the procedure so that is what I'm trying to put together for my next visit.

I visit my local Thai temple often so I should be able to ask someone to help with a translation there. When I get it translated, I'll post it here. Hopefully it can be helpful to someone. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
