I have an ‘oldish’ about four years Samsung Movie Theatre. It was ok when using it from a UBC box, but now what comes from the speakers is a sort of phut..phut..phut sound.

The picture is still ok. So it looks like the sound card part has probably failed. It also makes the same sound when connected to my laptop or another UBC box.

We only used it for an extra TV.

At present I’m not keen to fork out for another as it’s not used often and anyway plasma prices will fall again soon so I read. I am wondering if there are any other options available other than forking out a minimum of I guess of 4-5Kbaht to repair.

Can anyone advise what else I might be able to use to go between the UBC box audio out and the speakers. I have quite an assortment of old DVD players, computers etc….thanks

I think if you took it took a competent electronics repair, you would find a failed component on a circuit board that might be repaired for a couple hundred baht.

My kid dropped his Sony PSP into the toilet and it was dead.

The repair cost to get it all up and running was 300 baht.

Has never had a problem since
