I came up with Ironwood as a name for what is called Mai Makha here.

Not 100% on that.

We had all the floors in our house done with Mahka wood, not sure where the builder got it, but he said it was hard to find, makes a beautiful looking floor.

Mahka, is it the same as Afzelia Xylay ?

I brought some in via Laos some time back. It was not too dense/hard of a wood compared to Siamese rose wood and Burmese rose wood.

The wood that I also find impressive is Mango.... I have seen some really nice furniture made of the wood. I wish I could get my hands on some.
