Citibank Visa/master Card In Thailand

I notice on the application form for Citibank Gold credit cards in Thailand that non-Thais need a monthly income of 80,000 baht p/m but Thais only need 40,000 baht. I wonder how they work that out - foreigners are double the risk or have 40,000 baht's worth of expenses that Thais don't have?

They don't even offer the Silver card to foreigners.

foreigners pose much higher credit risk than normal thais. That's why the credit card regulations are stricter than thais, but not that much strict if you have a good running of your account. All depends upon if your job has been old enough,at least 3 years plus you have a good running account.

that was absolutely true :D

It may help, if you got any existing credit card with fast 3 months billing receipt. :o
