March 31, 201016 yr I will be arriving in Thailand on a double entry tourist visa. Already have a teaching job lined up and was wondering if there will be a problem clearing customs. The school says that once I arrive we will convert to appropriate visa + wp. Question: should I tell customs of job offer/length of stay or not?
March 31, 201016 yr Customs wont even ask. Unless you look like trouble they will probably just wave you through. if they did happen to ask, just tell them that you are meeting someone about a job.. It is not illegal to set up a job interview on a tourist visa. it is just illegal to work on one. BTW: Welcome to TV. Edited March 31, 201016 yr by mizzi39
March 31, 201016 yr Customs will only look at the goods you will be bringing in, immigration will look at the person. As stated above, they will not ask. Might be beter to try with a letter from the school hwere you will b teaching to try and apply for a non-B visa straight away. That will save time and money. It will depend on where you apply for the non-B if that is possible.
