March 31, 201016 yr i would like to ask for the requirements needed for a 15-day vacation in thailand? I have my passport ready. I'll meet up my friend fom india in thailand. will i be needing an invitation from somebody who really lives in thailand? Edited March 31, 201016 yr by jp33
March 31, 201016 yr Just your passport! You will receive 30 days of stay when entering Thailand, no paperwork required. This is when arriving by air, if you enter through a land border you will receive only 15 days (with the day you arrive counted as day 1)
March 31, 201016 yr As said, there are no special paperwork requirements to enter Thailand. More likely problem will be with Philippine immigration allowing you to leave the Philippines if travelling alone. Have a look at this thread that is running.
March 31, 201016 yr Author thank you so much... ill be arriving by plane... should i still be providing immigration details about where i will stay in thailand or with whom ill stay?
March 31, 201016 yr You will need to provide an address on the arrivals card that will need to be completed for Thai immigration, which your airline should provide. Can be address of hotel, guest house, friend etc.

Have a look at this thread that is running. very correct: it happen to my girlfriend. They let her fly from Cebu to manila and in manila she was stopped. Even she was before in China and Hongkong. Of course lost ticket too. Later we succeed and went to Philippine (not any other) Embassy in BKK and let confirm the letter of invitation with all medical guarantee etc.! Why you think had second time? Even she had the my affidavit confirmed and signed by the Phil Embassy, a immigration officer try hold her back, then he ask a bribe of 5000 Peso. She call me and I informed the immigration office I will fly to manila and meet him with the Embassy of my home country. So he could pass. It isn't only question of security for the Filipinas but one of the most dirty corruption of some of Phil Immigration officers. Manila isn't a safe town too for young woman, what she shall do with all lost tickets??? Try fly out from Clark (Manila) via Kuala Lumpur, it seem Bangkok is a red light and argument for some officers.

It will prove even more difficult for a single lady to fly out of Clark because they have special extra requirements for Filipinos leaving from there. Edited March 31, 201016 yr by tropo

SORRY this I don't know but a via flight I propose because Filipinos consider Bangkok as one of the most active place where the illegal trade with woman happen. This Filipina who told me about clark maybe had no problem because she have a work permit for Thailand. Whatever, this corruption is against human rights.
April 1, 201016 yr The Philippines and Thailand are both ASEAN members. You will automatically be given 30 days upon arrival into Thailand and be given a tourist visa. Do not try to attempt to find work as it is illegal to do so. Please be very careful and do not be lured into something that you might regret. Good luck.

Just to get the terms right, it is not a tourist visa you receive. Tourist visa's can only be had at embassy/consulate and for most nationalities will give you 60 days on arrival (some, like Indian nationals only get 30 days when holding a tourist visa). The 30 days you get when arriving without visa are properly called the 30 day visa exempt stay (or stamp).

Are you saying that a single Filipina travelling alone will not be grilled at Bangkok immigration? For example a single Thai woman travelling alone will often be subjected to a ritual humiliation at Seoul airport, even though there is no official visa requirement. Thai immigration on departure warns Thai females that they may be coming straight back. Is it just that Thailand is not worried about trafficking?
April 1, 201016 yr Are you saying that a single Filipina travelling alone will not be grilled at Bangkok immigration? Is it just that Thailand is not worried about trafficking? I'll say that. A Filipina will not be grilled at Bangkok immigration. My Filipino GF has come through dozens of times and never been questioned and is treated exactly the same as any other traveler. The Philippine Immigration officers will do that before they leave the Philippines (I'm told) but my GF has never had a grilling there. Once they were hesitant to let her out because she didn't have a return ticket, but I was there and managed to persuade them (immigration) to let her leave.

They won't let a Filipino leave from Clark Base on a tourist visa or with no visa. If they have a visa they will require a letter of invitation from the employer along with proof of accommodation.

I never said there would be any problem in thai immigrations. It happen 3 times in the philippines even this girl is dressed conservative (not provocant) and all this I know with thai work permit (teachers) confirm me same. So you are a lucky man; but I mean once stopped against your human rights when you are adult is one time to much. AND BIG DIFFERENCE TOO, IF THEY TRAVEL ALONE OR WITH A FOREIGNER as you did = 2 pair of very different shoes, I not guess in front of you a immigration officer will tray be corrupte and ask thousands of Pesos? The Filipinos would better concentrate in directieon UAE where most Filipinas are abused: thats it Edited April 1, 201016 yr by thaibear1

Once you realise this you can make adjustments to the way you handle situations.
