Combining Trips To Immigration - 90 Day Report/visa Extension

Featured Replies

I've got my first marriage visa and have to do a 90 day report in the next couple of days. My visa is valid till 14 Nov 10. I'm told I need to go to the Immigration Office 1 month before to submit my application for next year - so that takes me to 14 Oct 10. I've just worked out the 90 day reporting dates, the last one being 4th Oct 10. As this is 10 days before I have to submit my request for visa extension, does it mean 2 trips to Immigration in 10 days or is there a way around it?

Well, you can politely ask for 10 days early rather than the seven. Might work, smile.

I do believe you have a grace period on your 90 day report, 7 days before or after the actual date. Given that, maybe you can do your 90 day report on the 10th or 11th and then do the renewal on your marriage extension afterward.

Note that you can do your 90 day report by mail.

In Chiang Mai they are letting you do the 90 day report when you do the renewal of the extension.

When I did my extension in January Chiang Mai told me I HAD to do a 90 day reporting on the day my extension started, 2 months early.

I did my renewal for extension in February my 90 day report was due in 3 weeks. They told after I had me new extension to go ahead and do my report. I did. complete process extension and report 45 minutes.

Note that you can do your 90 day report by mail.

My local immigration office is Sakon Nakhon, but I may be staying in south Thailand for an indefinite period when the 90 days reporting become due. Can I do this by mail without any probs?
