In some radio talk show audio about bad traffic and dangerous motorbike drivers, I heard what sounds to me like

"ron-na-rohng" several times. I did ask the dragon lady about it. She said she couldn't explain it but it means

something like to get together and say how to do something. I can't find this in any of my resources. only

perhaps the word ร่น (to move back). I have a short audio clip, if anyone can help. Thanks.

which, in my rather idiosyncratic and inconsistent transliteration 'scheme' goes

chao-barn nai chum-chon ruam-gan ron-na-rong ha ngern tun mar du-lae rak-sa sohm-sehm som-bat kong chart chin nee hai khong sa-parp duhm

[Lit: villagers associaton together campaing to find investment money to take care of repairs property country part this for maybe condition formerly]

which should give you a natural rendering along the lines of:

The village association is campaigning to raise funds to renovate village properties (in order to bring them back to their former condition).

My feeling is that in English we would probably omit the bracketed part as being understood from context.

Any corrections / pointing out of errors most welcome!

Thanks, I feel a bit like a dummy now. That word is in the government word video at langhub.com which I went through

quite a few times before. It just came back to me now. I knew it was familiar but couldn't place it.
