i read that today on the 6th the immigration office was closed but will they be opened on the 7th & 8th of this month?

i hope they aren't taking a long extended holiday from now till the end of songkran.

This request may be out of order, however please address from your resources. the re-compiled, up dated, April 1, 2010 news from Thailand Ministry Of Tourism. The notice offered to extend free tourist visa starting April 1, 2010 into March 2011

As of April 7 there is no "free tourist visa" available and it is uncertain if there will be a free 60 day tourist visa application at BKK airport arrivals..

refreshing... Thank you in advance for available visa transparency, news of policy applied

directions including the "free" 60 day single double triple TOURIST visa

As there has never been free 60 day tourist visa availability at any airport in Thailand am not sure we are on the same page here. They may be a return to free tourist visas from Consulates but that has not been authorized by the MFA as of this date and expect other maters are of higher priority at the current time.
