Non Immigration B Multiple Entry Date

Featured Replies

I dont know what is going with this editor, so please excuse the appalling formatting

Hello

I obtained a Non Immigration B Visa on July 15, 2009.

I entered Thailand on Aug 29,2009.

I have 2 questions

Does the One Year duration start from July 15 or Aug 29. I want to make my last entry before that, to get my last 3 months.

Can I apply for an extension as an Investor, as

My contract didnt work out so i dont have a work

Date of issue - July 15 - last entry July 14 (or before - the dey before expiration date marked on the visa).

No you can not extend on basis of being a normal investor but there is a special 10 million baht investor option available from immigration you could ask about.

1. There is a Use Before (Utilize Before) date on the visa. Your last entry into Thailand must be made before this date.

2. You can get an extension of stay based on employment, marriage, retirement etc. Investor is not one of the categories.

You can actually obtain extension of stay based on 10M baht investment (section 2.5 of Police Order 777/2551)

If the OP has/wants to invest 10 million baht in Thailand then I apologize to him for the misinformation. However, I figured that since his contract didn't work out and he doesn't have a job, then he would be a tad short of the 10 million baht required.

You could well be right, but you never know so best to keep all options on the table :)
