salween
My bank account for the 400k baht marriage extension requirement still has much of the amount in it from last year. 1) Can I just top it off to 400k baht two (three) months in advance of my extension application date, or do I need to deposit a full 400k of new money? 2) Would like to confirm that there is still no requirement that such monies come from abroad, and a simple baht deposit at the teller window will suffice? Thanks
egg
hi salween ,, just top it up mate ,,, 3 months before ,, just to be on the safe side , even though they say 2 months ,,,, and l dont think it matters where it comes from ,,, l did mine with local money and was not asked for any proof of overseas income cheers egg
thaiphoon
1) You can top up. Immigration requirement is for 400k balance to be there for 2 or 3 months (depends on individual immigration office) before date of renewal application. 2) No requirement for funds to come from abroad. salween
egg & thaiphoon, thanks for the confirmation. Hardly ever deal with this account, but for the extension, so only really think about it once a year.
