Air Condition Service

Featured Replies

Hi,

A friend needs 3 air conditioners serviced in his house and has tried 2 local companies who charged him 400 baht each just to take off the front cover and wipe a dirty rag over the insides, so 1200 baht for nothing.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a reputable company/person who knows what they/he is doing and can make a decent job of it. The air conditioners are blowing warm air so no use to anyone right now.

Thanks and regards,

Falcon

First find out what brand the air conditioners are. If you are lucky, you can call the company directly to have it serviced. Assuming it is made by Mitsubishi, or other name brands, he can do that and get reliable service.

If not, then he can call a guy I know called Khun Noppadon. He does good work, however, he speaks just a little English. His number is 087-679-3179. If you have trouble communicating with him, PM me with your contact number and I will speak to him for you. He can fix most any air conditioner. Your friend's air conditioner apparently needs the cooling compound, which should cost about 20 baht per pound or thereabouts.

I also recommend that you post in the Real Estate & Housing section, under the Do it Yourself forum. You will get a better response from members.

I"ve just had my 2 Aircons done. They havnt been touched for 3 years.

The guy draped a plastic sheet along the wall and drained into a bucket....took off the outer shell and filters....pressure sprayed water into the heat exchangers.Sprayed and cleaned the shells then replaced them.....total time just about the hour for the two.

Surprised me that there was not a lot of dirt in the water....dark gray but not black.

I have the feeling that the airflow is a bit stronger.

Total charge 600 baht.

You can contact HomePro. They charge 600 baht for aircon cleaning, the price is for 1 aircon.
