Noob Q Regarding Multi Entry Visa.

Featured Replies

I currently have a 1 year multi entry visa. It was activated on 20 OCT 09 and so it will expire on 20 OCT 10, 1 year later.

I'm staying over a month at my last visa run location, this means that when I come back will be on 01 SEP 10, my question is, will I have 3 months to stay in Thailand ie; until 01 DEC 10 from this date or will I have to leave on 20 OCT 10 which is when my visa expires, approximately 2 months later.

cheers,

When you return you will get 90 days providing your Visa is still valid.

Visa and permission to stay are 2 seperate things. As long as your visa is valid, you get a permission to stay for 90 days. So you would get till Dec 2010. If you leave and re-enter Thailand just before Oct. 20, you would get a new 90 days again.

The start date of a multi entry visa issued by a Consulate is the date they issue it and the expiration date is the date on the visa as use before. All entries have to be made before that second date.

Thanks very much for clarifying this for me. Much appreciated.
