Same video now on you tube.

Removed for terms of use violation!

So I wonder who would flag this to YouTube. And so quickly.

Honestly, I think there is something that could turn out to be very provocative behind this story. As another poster said, NBT is on now presenting some interesting evidence. Right now, with some gas grenades that are not of the type used by the Thai army.

And here we have a poor soul who was shot from behind with an expertly placed head shot, and then made out to be a martyr.

One thing to be paid to gather at a site and march around - another thing being shot. It's obvious to all this isn't about Khun T as most people on here once thought.

brit, you kept saying that it is not about thaksin. what do you think the outcome be if the Reds win this fight?

Honestly I don't think Khun T will be back even if the reds win this. He certainly is too much of a polarizing figure to solve anything. Same now can be said of Abhisit - I think he's ruined now that it has unfolded the way it had.

Well that's very bad asumming that you are right. if thaksin is not going back if they won then who will be the PM? Jatuporn? Weng? Arisman

Or perhaps Somchai can be PM and be a puppet of Thaksin once again.

Same, same... Yellow will be on the streets.

What on earth gave you the impression that the reds were looking for solutions?

Yesterday red sympathisers such as yourself were saying he was ruined for being weak and ineffective - and he would have been had it continued. The chaos the reds were creating had to be dealt with and dealing with it was never going to be pretty, no matter who had been in charge.

I don't know but out of respect for the family it shouldn't be available to anyone other than investigating authorities.

That guy in the video was clearly shot from behind. The way his body fell, (forward) and the way his brains were expelled show he was NOT shot from the front, where the soldiers were. That was a back of the head shot. (think Kennedy and the grassy knoll)

Believe me ANY round to the head will do that, and it's certainly NOT a .50 cal round. That kind of round would've vaporized his entire head as well as killing anyone else who happened to be in its line of fire after hitting the primary target. It certainly gives the appearance of being your standard assault rifle round hit to the head to me.

Sah Daeng already said his "ronin soldiers" 'helped" the reds, hmmm, in what way did they do that? By escalating a conflict that was simmering into an all out shoot-fest? Great help. I hope eventually they can serve the out-standing warrant and actually arrest him.

The following is NOT saying it was a round from a soldier, only pointing out how rubber bullets are designed to be used.

Sadly using 'rubber bullets', especially if you don't know how to use them properly, will kill people at quite a good distance, certainly further than the two opposing sides were standing. Rubber bullets are designed to be shot INTO THE GROUND a short distance in front of the people you're trying to hit, and you hit them via ricochet in the legs and lower torso, NOT by aiming directly at them. Poor training in this type of round has resulted in HUNDREDS of deaths the world over.

One can only hope that with the many different videos out there that eventually the truth will come out.

Again; my condolences to the people who lost family on BOTH sides of this conflict.

Truly a sad day in thai history. ..

Listening to this you would conclude there's a third party now attacking the army who is colluding with the red shirt guard.

The main question is not whether there was a third party, but rather who?

Seh Daeng?

Given he's actually confessed to this, it'd be a safe bet...

Saeh Dang taking credit for something is never a safe bet.

NBT are now showing video shot from within the Thai troops position. Gas grenades were fired at them. And you can also see that same green laser from the gunsight that was visible in one of the earlier videos that was posted.

Not at all ... plenty of people that have bought totally into Thaksin being the answer. People TV, UDD education camps, hate speech constantly from the stages leads to a totally willing group that the leadership use as cannon fodder. How many were there with no funding is the big question.

my questions as follows as simple as a 6yr old boy can ask :

1) what kind of army Thailand has that civilians snatch arms and ammunition from the army?????

2) what kind of army Chief the Thailand has (Paochinda)-that he accepts all these shits from the hired criminals who kill his soldiers, beat his soldiers and still not taking action???

3) It surely creates lot of questions on Paochinda's real colour - is he working for someone who flew doctors from Bangkok in Dubai few days ago?

4) what kind of army chief or administration we have that cannot nail Mafia like Khatia (Seh Daeng )?

5) and the last what Bangkokians are doing -just sitting in their room and let the outsiders from Isaan and other petty hired criminals burning the city ?

This is shame to see that clearly lot of important personnels ,look like they are already being bought !

I dont see any future for this country - Noone -noone loves their motherland but money !!

If u watch the footage on nbt(btw its actually channel 9 footage), it clearly shows a sniper positioned 3 floors up behind the red shirts.

^clearly all abhisit had to do was wait them out, nothing to be lost and only more to gain. He did not need to try and shut down a media even if he did not like what they say.

Clearly the government could not hold off from repelling attackers. Clearly People TV was violating the law. The government was under intense pressure to take action and they did. The sad part is that clearly the reds could have stopped at any time and that attacking government troops and police at Thaicom and at Regiment 1 triggered this.

If it is war, with a private army attacking the government, under cover of social unrest,

then the LAST thing we need is Abhisit turning tail.

So many said he was ruined last Songkran too.

The way it has unfolded is like this was day 30 of a planned campaign.

If this is the kick off of a real civil war situation, then giving in isn't an option.

Consider the high number of field commanders from last night, no longer with us...

Seemed targeted to me, among others.

During last years Songkran incident, the red shirt side always claimed that there were people killed by the army. There were no photos and no bodies.

This year, there are photos and bodies. Gruesome photos were taken and two bodies were forcibly removed from Vachira hospital last night and the bodies were later paraded on the UDD stage. One of them appears to be the man in the video who was the subject of an expertly placed head shot from behind. He was shot at 21:42 last night, very early in the conflict.

This year, they have their bodies and they have their martyrs to display on stage.

You can draw your own conclusions.

-What pressure? Sort out the legalities about the TV station another day. What Abhisit did was to ramp up or escalate the situation! He threw fuel on to the fire that did not need to happen. The sad part is if he just waited things out - most likely this protest would have fizzled out and no loss of life or injuries.

We can argue all day long who's fault it is, but there is enough blame to go around for everyone!

They've taken spilling their own blood to the next phase. Last time was weird, and a little sinister, this time it's murder, plain and simple.

The Reds kept escalating until a strong enough response happened.

This was planned. They got their martyrs, seemingly shot from BEHIND their lines

caught on video too. A real screw up. But won't matter if they WIN....

If it wasn't last night it would have been tonight or tomorrow night.

Veera declared a New Thai State last night too.

These people are preparing their sheeple for war against their own countrymen.

Brit --- you claimed that the Reds would hold on and this would continue forever. Maybe Abhisit read your pro-red posts? But had the reds not ATTACKED then this wouldn't have happened. Feel free to look at the video (warning ---- gruesome!) and look to see how that red died. The fact that a Red leader (Sae Daeng) has admitted to having people armed with grenade launchers on the streets of BKK, and the sedition and insurrection hate speech coming out of the red leaders, this was sadly inevitable.

What pressure was Abhisit under? The citizens of BKK. The Coalition partners, the military, the rest of Thailand ALL wanted the situation in BKK to be normalized. Feel free to look through your past posts AND the threads about what was happening on the edges of this conflict.

It is a sad sad time for Thailand but the blame lies solidly at the feet of Thaksin and the red leadership.

Wait them out eh, and let the leaders continue inciting violence, my oh my maverick, funny how you change your tune eh, turn back the clock to 2008 and try and remember what you were saying about the yellows, did you not say to use rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannon, were you all for the riot police clubbing protesters or were you not.?.

The red leaders wanted a fight and they got one so stop trying to lay the blame at Abhsit's feet and start blaming the red leaders for leading their own people to their deaths.

Finally saw it ... doesn't look like that hit came from the direction of the military at all!

IMHO, the bullet came from behind (he was facing backward) and took his skull off.

Let not argue about this. But you can I are not expert.

Let's the expert conclude.

Cool down please. Similar thing happens before, and PAD blame Somchai too. Please do not over react.
