Hi everyone, I'm planning to move to Bangkok soon and I need to find a school for my mother to learn some english (she has no knowledge at all for now), She only speaks russian. I'll be thankfull to hear about any good places in BKK where she can learn English.

Think you may battle finding a school teaching English and being able to speak Russian in BKK.

There was a poster called "StasD" who I think is Russian and his English appears to be good but alas StasD has hit some hard times after his rich Thai GF binned him and from his last posting was looking for money, so you may be able to do something there..

Just a thought

You don't need to speak Russian to teach English - actually it would be a hinderance - like learing to speak Thai and looking for a teacher who spoke English :)

There are many language schools. But for a good one, your mothe will have to look for her self. Each school has its own method of teaching, your mother needs to find a school/teacher that teaches in a way that suits her most. A lot of schools will let your mother join a lesson for free. She should try a few schools and than decide.

I work for inlingua. We have 18 branches in BKK at the moment and we do have non-Thai students who come to our schools to learn English.

You can PM me for more details. :)
