Visa Expires 15th. Immigrations Closed For Holiday :(

Featured Replies

K guys I have a dual entry tourist visa. 60 days are up and i need to get it extended by 15th. As far as i know immigration is closed for the holidays. So say i come in on the 16th, 1 day over and trying to get a 30day extension. any opinions?

thanks for the help.

Go today, Monday the 12th, Immigration should be open. This thread mentions it:

I'm assuming, of course, that you're going to Chang Wattana.

Should be open Friday the 16th, too, but today would be better.

Yes, go today.

often immigration will not fine you if you come the first working day after your permission to stay expired, but there is no guarantee and after the holidays they will probably be very bussy.

thanks guys. gonna try to get it worked out today :)

I think you will find that Immigration will be closed until next Monday after today.

Immigration at Pattaya open today and then not until Monday the 19th.

I think you will find that Immigration will be closed until next Monday after today.

Personally for a TV I think I would go to Samut Prakahn to get it extended (today!)

Here is the info that i got. Went there 11pm paperwork in hand was told to come back at 130 because they were super busy. Was told at that time that they will not be fining people. I also brought a Thai friend with some connections and he was also reassured that no fines for overstay will be charged. Closed until the 19th as some people already said. We'll see what happens. Have a great holiday :)
