They have brought violence to the red protests by firing on the army with AK47, grenades and possibly other military weapons.

Some are rumored to have been seen with sniper rifles within the ranks of red protesters.

Unfortunately, information on those black shirts is really scarce and therefore always mixed with other topics.

Please post here any useful photo or information together with its source, links to videos, etc.

I hope that we can gather info on:

- how much were seen

- if they really had these sniper rifles

- what other weaponry the carried (only AK47 or also M16?)

- to whom they spoke

- where they were seen

- did they carry comms equipment (maybe under the hood/masks)

- clothing (some say they wear red shirts under their black garment)

- etc.

Please no speculations about for whom they work, who their leader is or what their agenda is...

Just facts.

This thread is not designed to be political, just fact finding about the black shirts.

If it is deemed too political, please move to news section.

Thank you.

นักรบ พระองค์ ดำ

Fighters of the Black King.

ศรีสะเกษ

Srisakate (the province they come from).

The Black King is the Thai King Naresuan. He was trained by the Burmese in martial arts, which eventually became Muay Thai (I believe).

The History of Muay Thai: King Naresuan was the King of Siam from 1590 until his death in 1605. At a young age he was taken captive by the Burmese to ensure the fidelity of his father, Maha Tammaraja, who became King of the Ayutthaya Kingdom after it was occupied by the Burmese in 1569. Naresuan spent nine years of his youth at Pegu under the protection of the Burmese King Bayinnaung, who trained him in martial arts, literature and military strategies.

The Red Shirts donning black shirts are members of the Black Guard. The Black Guard were assembled to protect the Red Shirts from harm (and some say to stop the Thai government from creating false problems). You can see the Black Shirts amassing in a previous post (second video): The Red Shirts in Bangkok: The Faces of Day Three.

The video is on this page:

These black shirts can be seen forming ranks like in the military while the other red shirts look curiously at them.

But are these the same black shirt than those who caused trouble?

You mean they are like the British SAS, or American SWAT, or Frendh ..., or Isreal ...., or Singapore ....?

I suspect these are just carrying weapons captured from soldiers to a sort of "storage", as the reds already said they have.

You think so ?

So he's confiscating weapons whilst wearing a gas mask and carrying an assault rifle on at least 1 shoulder as well as bags for ammo and a ski mask.

I guess you can't be too careful.

Have the black shirts back fired on the reds?

Immediately after the riots, the government and army were being shredded. But as more evidence has come out about these professionals amongst the red shirts, the less the heat is on the government/army.

Is there anything about the black shirts showing on Red TV?
