Stuck In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hope somebody can help - cannot return to Europe as all airports in the region are closed. Tourist Visa about to expire. So, if I do a 'border run' by VIP bus to Cambodia ( nearest one to Bangkok ) , how may days will they stamp me back in with at Thai immigration? Is it 15 or 30 ? The "sticky" at the top of the section says 30 days ( see copied below ) but it is difficult to get any fast search results on the subject, so I though I would check with the experts. Hope for a quick response, many thanks ! Ritzo

30 day entry stamp : for the majority of passport holders, this is a 'permission to stay 30 days' stamp only obtained (free of charge) at a port of entry into the Kingdom and is issued without the need for a visa. At the discretion of the immigration officer this may be extended for up to 7-15 days at an immigration office after which time the holder must leave the Kingdom. This is NOT a visa.

Is now 15 day visa exempt entry at land border crossing, 30 days if arriving by air. The rules changed about 15 months ago.

Landborder,

only 15 days

If you fly out and come back, sometimes cheap flights with, Air Asia, Tiger Airways, Jetstar Airways, Cebu Pacific and so on, sure possible go and come back in 1 day, you get 30 days.

I just went yesterday, Phuket-Singapore-Phuket with Tiger Airw. for 3.150.- baht
