Hi everyone

Can any kind soul please give me a brief run down on the procedure to renew a extension based on marriage at the new office at Chaengwattana. I know about the relevant paperwork and bank documents etc, but need to know where to go (what floor) and which department etc.

Also, after the 30 days 'under consideration' when I return back to C/W, is it the same as Suan Plu? (ie hand in your passport in the morning and get it back with the stamp in the afternoon after lunch, or is it on the spot nowadays?)

If you happen to enter in the basement, take the escalator up to the first level, there are signs to point the way. Once you enter, there will be a desk for people to get the necessary application forms. If you already have all your forms, proceed straight ahead, (may have to go through a metal detector, it wasn't in use when I was there in March). There will be another desk where you will recieve your queue ticket when you tell the person there what you are after.

I don't know about the rest, I'm on a retirement extension.

If you arrive at a normal entry level (you should be taxi or shuttle) immigration is on the same 1st floor in the south east corner. You enter the marked Immigration door and if you don't have to obtain form to fill in no need to stop at first information desk. Go to metal detecter and enter main area and counter for queue. Get queue and proceed to where it says. Have not done anything but 90 day reports so that is all the info I have. Entry level is the main open floor of building so easy once inside doors to find your way. One level down are eating places and branches of most banks and copy/photo service if you need them.

Can anyone help with the 30 days 'under consideration' timing of submission and collection of passport? Wait over lunchtime or on the spot?
