How would I translate deport, deported, and deportation? For example, 'the illegal immigrant was deported'.

All I can find is เนรเทศ, but that looks more like exile to me . . .

hmmmm amusing that it translates as 'drive (as in a car) out of the country' . . . think this will still translate the same if the deportation is done by plane?

Thailand mostly only deports people from neighboring countries, so driving isn't a problem . . . but in my situation I'm referring to foreigners from other continents.

(if I had to guess, I'd say the translation is still valid)

ขับรถยนต์ is to drive a car, ขับเครื่องบิน is to fly a plane, so i guess it still applies

ขับ here means to force out as in ขับไล่ rather then to drive as in driving car so the same word still apply no matter what the mode of transportation is, be it car,plane,boat or even on foot. The thing that is being ขับ'ed in not the vehicle but the people.

Drive in English can also have the same sense i.e. to force someboby to go some where.
