Im consider making a visa run to SuwannaKhet Laos but i havent been there so i dont know what its like. Ive made several visa trips to Vientiane Laos so im familiar with the scene. It cost $36 for a Lao visa at the boarder and about 20 Bt to take a bus to Vientiane. The Thai consulate it not too far from the bus station. I stay at a dormitory for 80 Bt per night. Everything is conveniently in walking distance.

What is the SuwanaKhet scene like? Are there dormitories? Are double entry visas given out just the same? Are the visas still free?

Vientiane or Phnom Pehn are the consulates within the region currently providing double entry tourist visas. Tourist visas are not free at the moment - 1,000 baht per entry.
