I'm not sure exactly what tax you are refering to, do you mean 'stamp duty' or something else??

Try to phrase your question slightly differently, lots of replies will ensue

BTW, the local currency is normally spelt (spelled?) BAHT

At the time of title transfer there will be a tax payment of (believe 3% - it had been to .5% for some time but believe gone up again but not sure of exact amount). Also there are stamp payments do.

There is a new annual property tax in the wings but do not believe it is final yet.

Just bought a place - taxes and bank fees came to about 5% all up.

I think (not certain) that the transfer tax is around 3% of the value for land only but if there is a house on the land, the transfer tax is around 5%.
