giztate
Hi, I need some sound advice please as my company i work for our completely useless. I have a Non B visa - which i needed for my work permit application. It expires on 28th April. Now cut a long story short, they have now submitted my WP and will take 10 days to process. I live and work Bangkok, but the company HQ is in Krabi. This is also currently where my Passport is. Now I'm sure I can get a extension n my Non B visa and this can be done by my HR at Krabi? Please Kindly advise.
lopburi3
You can not extend a 90 day visa stay more than 7 days and that might require show of a ticket out of Thailand. I suspect you will require a new visa to obtain that work permit - take the receipt for application for work permit with you when you apply as company paperwork alone is not accepted at local Consulates. FYI: you did not need a B visa to apply for a work permit - it is only required for issue of the work permit.
lopburi3
Your next question to employer should be if you will qualify for one year extensions of stay or not. There are company and income requirements that many jobs do not meet.
