Uk Government To Phone Imminent Thailand Flyers

I read somewhere that the UK government is to phone every person in Uk who has a flight to Thailand booked, really, sounds a bit unlikely. What are they going to do - try to stop people going? or just advise us and we have to justify why we still want to go??
