If one changes address (to another province) say midway between a 90 day period, do I need to inform my current IO beforehand... or simply show up at the nearest IO closest to my new address... on the next date reporting is due?

In practice just show up with the new address when it is due. Your landlord should also be reporting you at the time you move in as a separate action.

So... just to confirm, I do NOT need to inform Samutprakrn IO (where I currently report to and also have my extension of stay issued) I just show up at the nearest IO (where I "plan" to move to) and report there.

Also, I won't have a landlord - as not paying rent.

The house owner is required to report you staying there regardless.

If you have an extension of stay the paperwork will probably need to be transferred so I would check with them first and do what they advise.
