lost_in_space
I downloaded Ubuntu 10.04, but both K3B and Brasero won't let me burn it under 16x. I ran the live cd I made at 16x and it's quite buggy, on 3 different machines. So I'm hoping the slow speed will fix that. Any ideas? Is it my hardware? mohinga
Have no experience with Brasero; but did have similar problem using K3B in PCLOS '09. Even with the MD5sum checked, it usually not burn an iso file to a normal CD at any speed. I could select a lower speed (e.g. 8x etc) but the process would abort at around 15 second mark. But it would burn to a rewritable CD. Strangeley the speed options for this was only normal or 10x. Am now using Mint KDE and K3B works fine with it... burns iso's no problem. Don't know if this is any help.
lost_in_space
I use Mint as well, but not the KDE version. I tried using 3 other machines, but none let me burn under 12X. I even used Infrarecord on XP. I didn't have a problem with 10.04 RC, so I think the problems I have with the final release are likely related to the burn speed. Arrgghh!
