Tila Legal - Any Experiences?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get married in Thailand, and I'm considering using tilalegal.com.

I was going to go with siam-legal.com, but the rates for marriage registration service + prenuptial is 2x as much as Tila Legal.

Does anyone have any experiences with them?

Why not limit your legal services to the pre-nup and do the marriage registration yourself (like 90% of everyone else)? Save money that way.

And check your local expat club; maybe they have a legal advisor (what we call a paralegal in the U.S.) who, while not admitted to the bar and can not appear in court, is trained in legal matters and help you with something as simple as the pre-nup. Again, the cost should be less than using a "lawyer".

I had experience with Tila Legal before and I am very happy with their service.

I have no idea how much they charge for your case but as a foreigner I recommend you to have your lawyer with you when you marry to Thai. It will give you a peace of mind.

One of my friend married to a Thai but divorced after one and a half years and he lost a fortune which cost a lot more than making a prenupt.

What's he going to act as a witness? :)

Why would it cost a fortune to divorce?

Oh, I know, since he bought a lot of stuff and put it in her name.

No prenupt is going to alter that loss...

I would just do it myself, I did.
