I am headed into BKK tonite and have an early 7AM appt. at the US Embassy...Does anyone know of a reasonably priced (1000-1500B) hotel near the Embassy and not in Red Shirt territory??? Would appreciate any help here,Thanks

The Federal Hotel on Sukumvit Soi 11 has been my choice for the last few years, now baht 1,300-1,500. Clean, decent and not expensive coffee shop, parking, and even a small swimming pool. BTS Skytrain Nana Station right at the mouth of Soi 11, run up to Ploenchit Station and walk down Wireless to the embassy.

decent one i stayed at in silom its called the swan hotel 1000 thb per nite with breakfast and a good sizes swimming pool on second floor, 5 minutes taxi to embassies

The Ibis Sathorn is near Pinnacle and very close to the embassy, 5 min. taxi. It's all new and in your price range. book on Agoda for best deals usually.
