Anti-gay Rights Activist Resigns After Trip With Male Escort

Featured Replies

No real surprise! When you see a fiercely anti-gay rights activist, you're often looking at a closet gay.

I'll play the Devil's Advocate here.

From the agreement on the homepage of the website (rentboy):

THIS SITE MAY NOT BE USED FOR THE ADVERTISING OF SEXUAL SERVICES OR TO ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES REQUIRING THE PAYMENT OF MONEY FOR SEX OR OTHER ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES.

This also seems strange:

Lucien says Rekers first contacted him through the site. He was hired to give Rekers daily "sexual massages" on the trip, which took them to London and Madrid, Lucien says.

I wonder how easy it was for this "Lucien" to get visas for the abovementioned countries?

A search for a "Lucien" on the site reveals nothing.

The whole story seems a bit strange. It may simply be a ploy to attract more "hits" on the rentboy site.

Isn't Lucien (it is a FAKE name) American? In which case, no visas needed for western Europe or most countries for that matter. What a silly, fake controversy you have created.

The male escort who traveled with Rekers -- who goes by the name Lucien, though that is not his given name -- said that he advertises his service exclusively on the website rentboy.com, where visitors can choose from hundreds of male escorts in suggestive and revealing poses.

I think 'given name' means 'real name'. I doubt that anybody on such a site would use their 'given name'.

The young man concerned traded under the name of "Geo" - though his profile has been removed from rentboy.com (though feedback on his "performance" was still there when I checked a few days ago).

For pictures of the gentleman concerned (that's Geo, not the right-wing bigot), see http://joemygod.blogspot.com/2010/05/meet-...d-by-narth.html

Much better trade in Madrid, probably cheaper too. So typical of an American - taking a packed lunch to a city full of Michelin star restaurants.
