Where Is It Safe To Get A Tourist Visa In Malaysia?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've been reading the forum and seeing some posts about tourist visas being hard to get in Penang and Kota Bharu. I already have several Thai tourist visas in my passport and will be travelling to Malaysia in a couple of weeks hoping to get another one. Can anyone advise where is the best embassy (Penang, KB, or Kuala Lumpur) to get this? I'm on a UK passport.

Cheers,

Chris.

KL is the best I know

KL, Penang and Singapore are all totally fine for tourist visas.

Penang is not recommended as the policy changes with the wind (visa companies) it seems (from many reports here).

Hi,

Some advice required if anyone has a moment.

I have 4 or 5 Non-Imm B's in my passport, and 1 triple entry tourist visa from Vientianne. I have never been to Penang before.

Will I get a new double entry tourist visa in Penang without a problem?

Thanks for any advise.

Also, are double entries frely avail in KL?

Do not believe either location will provide - but we have no reports since free system started again.

You will get a single entry tourist visa in Penang unless you have made extension on your previous tourist visa in Thailand.

THanks guys.
