For a while now I've been dealing with companies that have decided to look elsewhere in Asia to expand/relocate. Some of them saw the writing on the wall and took advantage of the economic slowdown to look for new horizons. Its short term money now coming into LOS, the long term investment has been driven out by higher production costs, better English skills elsewhere, less red tape and corruption. You really didn't need to add the present troubles to the mix.

Hotels like Banyan Tree have a client base that avoid troubled places like Thailand like the plague.

I think I'll start looking for a new job in another country.
