I will say again for those of you who have entered this forum after me and think I have a colour. I am niether red nor yellow and sit on the fence and look in. I disagree with reds and I disagree with yellows. I make comments on reds and I make comments on yellows. I will and have offended both sides but this is an open discussion.

I agree with 'reds' and I agree with 'yellows' Is a glass half full or half empty?

Perhaps methodology is the question..

Are you asking me to take a side? What side should I take?

READ PLEASE.... I said disagree not agree...... DISAGREE both side have points. Both sides are pulling Thailand down.

I'm with you MTB. I obviously lacked word skills to convey that. Please don't shout at me. I was agreeing mate. Yes, both sides have points. Just whether we think that that they're bringing Thailand down or trying to bring it forward. Sorry if I offended. Unintentional. Hugs(In a blokey sort of way)

:) have one on me

In a modern country a parent or guardian who puts a child in jeopardy (like, for instance, refuses to evacuate the child from a 'live fire' area) is liable to criminal charges. The red leadership failing to encourage the parents/guardians to get the kids out of there can also face criminal charges.

How "modern" is a Government that declares an inner city area and a rally site to a 'live fire zone' for its military?

Isn't such a government criminal as well and lost any eligibility or legitimacy to be the country's 'guardian' ?

What a silly argument, about as modern as a "democratic movement" that sets up bamboo spears and gasoline-soaked tires in a commercial district and shoots people in the dark. Can we move away from this? We all know where you stand.

Since we all want a return to peace ASAP, I'm wondering why Veera and the other Red leaders who supported the roadmap and Nov 14 don't make public statements backing the gov't and publicly calling for the Rajaprasong protesters to cease and desists, while also calling on the gov't to return to the roadmap.

That would go a LONG way to calming a lot of people down, leaving only the few hel_l bent on violence to meet whatever end they long for.

Anybody got Veera's email/phone no?

Abhisit on TV, so not dead yet??

As it was out of sync on different channels, it was probably recorded. So there's still hope.

What a disappointing post. I thought there were some members who were above wishing for death and violence.

What I was trying to say is that 2many posts here were telling Khun A and S were shot.

Not wishing A dead, think he's the only1 who can get us out of this

PM says not to believe everything you hear on the news as it is happening and things need to be verified. Lots of innacurate reports coming out ... at least initially

(FYI: GF is translating for me. So, maybe not getting this all exactly right)

Hi time to learn Thai, eh...

Still trying to perfect my pool game. Thai speak next.

I suggest a truce on the case of the 10 years young boy.

It is an obvious mistake, unwanted, that everybody regrets.

Condolences to the family

Rest in Peace.

I think we should stop to speculate on a so tragic error.

thank you

I agree. RIP young lad.

The boys photo before being shot: http://tweetphoto.com/22511456

This is sad. Why is a ten year old boy in a protest rally like this? He is too young to comprehend what is going on. The situation has been rocky since yesterday, his guardians/parents should have sent him home.

I did not that he had past away. RIP young man.

I know a tear will not be past in Bangkok because people there do not even know that the world exists. The rich elite will never shed a tear for a young man from the north he was mearly in thier eyes the next oxen to plow thier fields to provide the next mercedes and lat'e. Viva le yellow shirt....

How do you know where he is from??

Wherever he is from, the red leaders are as guilty as if they themselves had pulled the trigger.

All they have to do is call off the protests and no more people will suffer. Why will they not do that?? a@@holes from Thaksin down to the fat gobsh!te Jatuporn.

And you red apologists should be ashamed and embarrassed. You are as bad as the monsters you support :)

Why did the Reds go home last year?

I was not permanent in BKK then and just remember seeing the burning buses and fighting on television but cannot recall how it ended, I just remember Sonkgran happening a little late.

Did they just get it out of their system enough and leave after meeting resistance from authorities?

The kids that went into the schools in the USA and killed a bunch of students knowing they will die are in the right? this is what you are saying?

But we are in Thailand and the summer holidays will end to morrow sunday 16th, so this kid is, sorry, was on holidays.

About older kids , i.e students at university, many of them want to manifest in the streets from next monday.

It is getting ridiculous the excusses that the Farang yellow shirts are comming up with to justify the shooting of a 10 yr old child as we have seen thoughout these last 86 pages.

1. He was armed and threatend soldiers.

2. He was in a van speeding towards a check point packed with explosives.

3. He was in a van packed full of weapons.

4. he was in a van full of Red propaganda

5. He was outside the van and armed threatening soldiers

6. it was a school night and he refused to go to bed.

are u real

Yes these are exact comments made by farang yellow shirts today. I missed one "he was warned by the Army to go home numerous times and he refused". Go back and read these ridiculous comments.

He was warned and he ignored the warnings.

What can be plainer than that?

If a farang is guilty of as driving accident just because,

if he hadn't come to Thailand no accident would have happened,

then this child put himself via freewill where he was shot...

Bottom line, whine all you want, it was an accident,

and the young fellow should never have been there.

Doesn't make it less sad, but no red take over and red violence

and no need to remove them. So I can trace this child's death,

in partial responsability, to Thaksin and his revenge game plan.

Thaksin's peaceful protestors are anything but now....

How very sad about the 10 year old boy. My condolences to his family, friends and his classmates. Pictures like that bring home how horrible and unjust life can be.

I did not know he passed away. A lot of conversation on here has been about the child without even knowing his name. My condolences also to his family a boy so young and not even reaching his greatest part of life. I think think out of respect this topic should be closed and I feel even the yellow shirt farangs would agree.

RIP YOUNG MAN....

About 2 hours ago Military Guards were gunned down by either “Watermelon Soldiers” or “Black Rangers”. Will try to confirm story after I return from one of the various UDD rallies around the city. Take a look at the scarfs and it will tell you who’s guards they are. If anyone can translate the writing please leave it in the comments sections.

Hawkeye

sounds a genuine innocent farang to me.

Viking can you ask him over to my place for a nice cup of tea??

Looneytunes they are!!

Assurancetourix is trying to be cute/witty with his fake quote (in orange, above), but not all readers will know it's fake. Irresponsible, dude. A little jest like can start nasty rumors, and possibly be fodder for the quick-to-get-enraged Red crowd.

.

Thanks for clarification Brahmburgers. Only in LOS few years but thought translation unlikely. If nothing else PM is a good and polished politician and couldn't imagine his script read that. Ta.
