More Bloodshed In Bangkok As Red Siege Continues

Human shields, killing rescue workers, assault of a hospital are war crimes (Geneva convention).

All discussion about this here forgets this fact. Only terrorists don't know it. The "final shot", if necessary, is allowed to protect the helpless.

On the video you can clearly see the face of the father or guardian whatever he is. Now it's been shown on TV. Maybe he'll be "punished" sometime in the future.

Ever wonder where the Red-supporting posters on Thai Visa come from (and go to)?

They seem to come in groups, about 3 to 6 join within 2 days of each other, and they post frantically - each post stridently pro-Red, and the posters all use much the same phrasing and arguments, sometimes openly agreeing with each other. Then, after a few days, they seem to disappear. This pattern has happened about 5 times since mid-April.

Here's my theory. Ok, imagine a very rich man who's essentially bankrolling a demonstration in Bangkok (ok, you guessed who it is). He's seized by the idea that he's been cheated out of his power seat, but even more important (to him) that he's been cheated out of bazillions of baht. The power seat facilitated the massing of fortunes, but that's beside the point here.

So, he's got all this money and zeal, and he finds one or more English speakers who don't mind sitting in front of computers for several hours a day. Money for payment is no object. One adept writer could plausibly be sitting in front of two to four computers, with as many usernames, and just keep writing things that favor his employer. He's probably being coached, but that's also beside the point. And it doesn't have to be just Mr. Thaksin who's paying the piper (to play the tune), .....it could be any of his family or others he's close to. Actually, it's probably possible to log in with several names on one computer, I don't know.

You'll also notice, if you're watching this sort of thing, that most of the Red supporting posters currently online here, will probably be done posting in a day or two. Also, none of the suspects alluded to here have any personal info on their profile page.

Just a few thoughts.......

Yes I believe this is true ... and I'm afraid they are winning the media war with these tactics.

just why can't the Govt not able to do this... they have 100 times more resources... more money ... more power to control or ban things... strangely they haven't been able to do it yet...

The government is doing a shocking job of managing the message to the international press. I was just watching Channel News Asia, the entire press briefing was done in Thai. People will say, but they are Thai, they speak Thai. But, you are announcing this stuff to the international as well as domestic market. Your international reputation is on the line as a government.

Then as mentioned in another thread a major general whatever says he got a phone call offer from one of the red leaders to pull back the violent groups from the reds. How can this be spun on the world media? We received an offer, but we must continue to potentially shoot people? You can't spin it, so better not to say anything.

Whether or not people are paid, I don't know, but if it is true, it just shows how sophisticated Thaksin's efforts are. I mean who in reality gives a dam_n about Thaivisa? If true, obviously Thaksin's team.

I've seen a definite pattern that corroborates this too, new members spouting the same bs, each with exactly the same post count after only 1 day on the forum. Methodically posting under multiple identities I wonder?

Personally, I'm not concerned about the armed red shirts getting shot at. They have weapons to defend themselves, so it's a somewhat fair fight. What I'm worried about is the thousands of elderly, women and children, that have no way to defend themselves and are basically facing execution. And yes, feel free to say they can leave and all that, but they're not leaving. That doesn't mean that they should be killed. That's no excuse, period.

Why are you so convinced the military is going to execute women and children? You keep talking like its already happened? Do you really think the situation needs your paranoid rantings that will never come true? After the incredible restraint being demonstrated by the government and military these past few months letting terrorists run wild your declarations come off as completely insane and ridiculous. Where are these executions you keep speaking of? Did you accidentally think this was NorthKoreaVisa.com? What is with you?

Thaksin is passive/aggressive on steroids. He ruins the peace deal knowing this would turn bloody, and now tries to act like he has nothing to do with it, blaming it all on Abhisit. That lawyer he has working for, Amsterdam, I think he is in Bangkok. Doesn't he need a work permit?

I have to say, that if the government here ran a 'Get your free money day' no on would turn up, e.g. no address or similar up-cock.

I find it astonishing that they [in part both the bureaucracy and the elected officials] are so incapable of creating and providing an effective communications channel, and even less able to understand [or compensate for] inevitable spin placed upon their statements by an opposition.

This inability is at times stunning, truth is often in their hands and still they manage to get it wrong in terms of presentation, often by focusing on the wrong element and not being prepared to support a contention when made.

What doesn't help is that they are used to a supine press [no little help in that care of K. Thaksin, of course] with little inclination or ability to be investigative, whilst ignoring how data once in LexisNexis becomes, for many journalists [who are not specialists] the truth and is repeated ad infinitum.

Looking back for a moment I can recall when the entire country came to a stop so that HM could explain, with a flip-chart IIRC his upcoming operation. Everyone got it, everyone understood, why can't these people understand that if you tell the truth, support it with facts, and allow probing questioning the people will get it.

That becomes pretty clear when they can't explain their opinions. The cheat sheets just have one or two line statements to post.

"Abhisit is a dictator"

"Abhisit has ordered the killing of women and children"

No detail. No thoughts as to why they believe that. Just the statements straight of the cheat sheets.

On the why would anyone pay for posting here, my view is that there are those who understand that data on the internet can be useful in supporting a viewpoint. Very few are willing to deviate from the crowd, so if you search and find a viewpoint repeated, expanded and apparently from many voices, the viewpoint has 'stickiness'. There are also companies who use bots to review and trawl the net looking for trends which they then report upon to their clients [including publishing companies].

Creating traffic here, adding a specific viewpoint, could be useful, is it being done?, maybe, there are consultancies who work with legal firms who's task it is to raise such an awareness.

Just here on it's own, no, but as part of a concerted medium term media operation, why not? With the right targeting you can sell just about anything.

Panitan on Channel News Asia states concerning the rules of engagement. The rules of engagement are very strict, to protect themselves etc etc.

"If the army are attacked with home made weapons, they can use weapons to protect the general public"

Meanwhile, the BBC has been stating all day that the army is simply firing into the crowd to keep people from encroaching on the army lines.

The Montenegrin passport seems to be proving usefull. He can use it to go to France without a visa, even though he is banned from Germany after he illegally obtained a one year residence visa there which would mean he would be unable to get a Schengen visa if he were travelling on a Thai passport.

Logic says you target the main high traffic sites suitable for such interaction. Owing to its track record this site would be probably number 1 on the list. I'll also repeat that this would only be part of a more complex coordinated operation. I'm not saying that it is happening, though I do suspect some posters veracity, but it would be an effective arm in such a strategy.

What I don't understand is that the reds have spread out to attack the army. The army haven't moved in to the reds protest area.

If the reds want a truce, shouldn't they be pulling back, instead of continuing to attack the army?

Right, crazy people cannot be crazy like this. We work hard to show some facts, we try to convince, some insult them. No reaction, they fart out the same. O.K., when I'm paid to post, I post, ...I follow my instructions.

Perception Management disinformation teams.

A form of Public Relations, where a lie or set of lies help sell what the client wants seen by the world.

So they attack all disenting voices, and attempt to diminish their stature with others,

will inceasently peppering the discussion with their talking points and background to make the lie set

seem more plausible, and work to tie it specificly to certain posters who's view they can massage

closer to their desired world view. Inadvertantly backing the game plan while not intending to.

Some start out woitj pretend agreement with some real posters, and then after wards change style

and become propagandists, hopefully bringing 'their friend' along for the ride.

The Big Lie told often and by multiple voices so it seems more plausible.

Plus certain specialists repeatedly targeting those that tear the lies apart best.

This has been going on since well before LAST Songkrans debackle.

Of course the lies get massaged and keywords adapted over time to move the story forward.

Peacefull demonstrators become innocent civilians. No armed reds only freedom fighters.

Nothing by grannies and children in the camp, just those wanting 'democracy'. etc.

Then actions on the ground are created to tie in with the lies.

Snipers killing red shirt pawns randomly so the army can be blamed,

because army snipers are out hunting the snipers to protect the army's vertical flanks etc.

Psychological warfare against ALL OF US, and how we see a situation,

coupled with actual warfare all set to create an ongoing long term impression.

Incidious doesn't even begin to describe this tandem from hel_l.

I've seen a definite pattern that corroborates this too, new members spouting the same bs, each with exactly the same post count after only 1 day on the forum. Methodically posting under multiple identities I wonder?

Some under multiple identities, it appears, and it seems that when one is banned, that poster comes back within a day or two under a new alias. When you follow the posts for a while, you can detect similarities in writing style, down to common sharing of misspellings. They may start off trying to use a different style, but eventually they give themselves away. Although, some you can ping right after their first 'new' post.
