What's Going On With The Absolute Group?

There are a lot of farang running questionable businesses in Phuket/Thailand.

If a bar owner doesn't have a work permit - what do I care?

However, these members of staff, from this company or a similar company to them, really infringe on your freedom to walk down the street, without being harrassed. They really give me the sh*ts. I blame the company, not the individual on the motor bike.

I'm trying to think of a non-violent way to end their method of marketing.

Perhaps, if all the expats "play the game" with them and pretend they are tourist and talk about the weather, or football, or how much they love Phuket, and just keep chatting and chatting and chatting about anything and everything and then say, "You guys have a great day" and walk off, not only will this take up their time, but will save other expats from their approach and save a tourist from their scam. It may also make it become unprofitable for these companies to use this method of marketing and they may stop using the motor bike method of attracting victims.

I'm not on a crusade, they just really, really frustrate me.

I've never ever been approached by these people, but then, I look scruffy and poor.
