One Final Question About Entry

Featured Replies

When I enter Thailand in the next two weeks Since I have a 1 Year Multy entry the Date they stamp My visa should be for 90 Days Correct ? I will enter June 29th and the entry stamp should be Sept b29th Yes ? And should I point the Visa out to them upon Arrival ?

Thanks

Kid

Yes. No. It will be 90 days with entry day counted as day 1 so will be earlier than 29 September. No. You enter visa information on your entry card so there is no reason to say anything unless the officer makes a mistake.

Which they do regularly. Last time into Thailand i was stamped in for a year. (id been out of the country to get a new visa after cancelling my work permit.) They stamped me back into the country on my old, cancelled visa even though it had red lines all through it, and a nice new visa right next to it.

Took it to Suan Plu for transfer into my new passport, they said nothing about it either.

It was all good for me!!!

Yes... worth keeping an eye on the entry stamp.

On one occasion I came in on a standard 30 day beano and noticed that it was valid to the day before I arrived :o ...wot on earth..etc.

Just went back and spoke to the immigration block who admitted that he had forgotten to change over the date stamp in his "chopper thingy"(early morning arrival-everyone a bit dozy)and with a sorree...done a new one.

Nice enough guy but what about the punters who rushed off the plane before me and probabally never noticed.... :D

Yes - do take a look when they stamp you in! I lost one month coming back in and did not notice until my office brought it to my attention. No problems as it was sorted out in Suan Plu by my HR department but it caused one days worth of problems for them. (not me) They are constantly changing the dates for each person so mistakes can easily be made.

There's a seperate window at Suan Phlu just for fixing up airport arrival stamp stuffups.
